Governance

The students of 6B enjoyed learning about governments of countries of their choice. As they listened to students presenting their research  in the form of posters, they learnt about how different governments around the world function. The big understanding was that though some countries call themselves democracies, they are somewhat different depending upon various factors such as: economics, culture, leadership styles, etc.

JAPAN
DENMARK

AUSTRALIA
GREAT BRITAIN
NEW ZEALAND
CANADA
MACEDONIA
SINGAPORE
Seah's poster shows amazing creative layout. The way she positions her images and creates little, salient captions make her posters eye-catching!

A few days later , the students explain their understanding of different forms of governance using... Yes, unifix cubes.

Summative task:
Create a new form of government using gummy bears ( or candy). With it, create a constitution with a preamble. Explain how it is formed and what its function is. The constitution should reflect the vision of the preamble.

I leave you with a funny musical by Tim Hawkins! Enjoy :)

  1. Seah's poster looks fantastic! How creative! I really like how much detail she went into also, I never knew that there are 300 representatives in the South Korean National Assembly.
